The study of this summer project was aimed to investigate about perspectives of people regarding women empowerment through China Pakistan Economic Corridor. People are predicting that the project will bring a big transition in behavior of Gilgit communities towards women’s socio economic livelihood in near future. To thoroughly be acquainted with the different views of people, it was important to take interviews of both male and female members of the society, from various professions. From this investigation, we found out that most of the people of Gilgit have positive thoughts towards women empowerment through CPEC. Although most of the people are optimistic about the project but some people, find this project to be a threat to their culture. Our analysis suggests our ideas about the perspectives of people of Gilgit. On the basis of our analysis we also give recommendations to Government of Pakistan to make this project advantageous for people of Gilgit.en_US
