dc.description.abstractBackground: Menopause is natural in woman’s life at a sudden period related to certain hormonal changes in older adults. In the menopausal transition, many women suffer from menopausal stress, significant effect on attitude which has implications for psychological and physical health. Aim: The aim of this study was document the knowledge and practices level among the menopausal women in Tangail rural area. Methods: This study was community based cross sectional study, used semi-structured questionnaire to collect information on menopausal related knowledge and practices among women of age 45-60 years. Results: Majority respondents demonstrated menopausal aged 51-55 years. Regarding the menopausal related knowledge 76.24% had poor knowledge and only 23.76% had good knowledge. The level of poor practice had 87.62% and only 12.38% had good practice. Conclusion: It appears that pre-and postmenopausal instructive mediations are needed by status, indications, and seriousness of menopause as well as proper knowledge and practice.en_US
