Scientists have noticed an upsurge in the rate of spontaneous abortion among women in Chakaria, located in the east coast of Bangladesh. Given the critical situation imposed by climate change in the area, receiving timely antenatal care during pregnancy becomes critical for battling health outcomes like spontaneous abortion. Thus with the aim of improving maternal health, the paper presents the current scenario of ANC usage among women in Chakaria and assesses the relationship between ANC and spontaneous abortion in the given context. Secondary data from icddr,b has been utilized for conducting this thesis. SPSS20 has been used to run statistical analysis. Chi-square test and logistic regression analysis were done to assess the relationship between spontaneous abortion, ANC and other socio-demographic variables. Results have shown statistically significant association between spontaneous abortion and ANC usage in the study area.en_US
