Parents are considered to be the vital influence on a child’s social-emotional well-being. Mentally healthy children excel at school and in society. Parental involvement is one of the most fundamental elements in a child’s up-bringing. Children look upon their parents as their first role model, and their active participation in initial years of life is regarded most crucial, specially the early years where children learn about themselves, surroundings and acquire basic skills. This study aims to discover the impact of parental involvement on primary students’ academic outcomes and social-emotional well-being in-terms of showing empathy and kindness in socialsetups. The impact of parental involvement will be measured through assisting with homework and spending time playing and doing activities together. This research is based on a mixed-method approach, where the data was collected from parents of The Frobel Academy. The quantitative data was acquired though a Google survey form, and qualitative data was gathered though interviews of the parents. The findings indicate that parental involvement is directly proportional to better academic progress and healthy social-emotional well-being. Consistent parental involvement fosters a child’s cognitive growth, supports their ability to recognize emotions and feelings which helps them to interact with the world beyond their house, and show satisfactory academic performance. Moreover, this research reveals that SES alone doesn’t necessarily impact a child’s academic performance at school or impact his/her learning capabilities, but it is the amount and dimensions of parental involvement.en_US
