The Impact of Communal Violence upon Rohingya Women’s Education
Abstract
The research attempted an effort to discuss the challenges that Rohingya women in
Myanmar address as a result of intercommunal violence and its lasting effects. The availability
of schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic and the state of education in refugee camps were
also investigated in this study. In order to properly address the educational requirements of
displaced women and decrease gender inequality, the emphasis is on the necessity of focused and
cooperative initiatives. Regression models were used in the study to examine the connection
between Rohingya women's educational performance and violence. The study draws attention to
the difficulties encountered by women residing in camps and emphasizes the necessity of
focused interventions and gender-sensitive methods to solve the problems. This study
investigated the relationship between violence and Rohingya women's educational results using
probit regression models. The importance of education for youth in emergency situations is
examined in this study, along with the obstacles Rohingya refugees experience in getting access
to high-quality education. The analysis provides suggestions for specific measures in addition to
comprehensive efforts to lessen the epidemic's detrimental impact on women's objectives and
living conditions in Rohingya camps.
